The Institute for Research into Salvatorian History and Spirituality, based in Vienna, is dedicated to the scientific research, preservation and communication of Salvatorian history, spirituality and the development of the order.
While the focus of vocations within the international Salvatorian community is increasingly shifting from Europe and America to Africa and Asia, knowledge of the founding idea of Father Francis Jordan and the historical development of the order in Europe remains a central component of Salvatorian identity. Numerous historical sources and documents are located in Vienna.
