Let us be rekindled ...
Provincial Fr Márton Gál sent out a special message at Pentecost: For his video on the feast of Pentecost, he climbed onto the historically significant pulpit of St Michael's Church in Vienna (Vienna I), which has not been used for years. The reason? The highly symbolic depiction of the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove on the sounding board of the pulpit - an ideal place to talk about the power and relevance of Pentecost.

In his short video message (see link below), Fr Márton describes Pentecost as a ‘feast of new beginnings’. He recalls how an insecure group of disciples became a courageous movement - through the work of the Holy Spirit. According to Gál, this spirit not only gives enthusiasm, but also orientation, unites people and encourages them to pass on the Gospel in the language of our time.
Pentecost is a special feast for the Salvatorians - originally even their high feast - and therefore an enduring mission: keeping the spirit of God alive, sharing hope and being a church on the move.
The video ends with a cordial invitation to the Pentecost Mass in St Michael's Church on Sunday, 8 June 2025 at 10.00 am. The solemn conclusion is the traditional shower of roses - a living sign of blessing and spiritual power.
