[Together] Giving hope

Salvatorians Worldwide

The Salvatorians Worldwide association, based in Vienna, supports the Salvatorians’ social and pastoral projects in many parts of the world.

Our aim is simple yet very specific: not to leave people in difficult circumstances to fend for themselves, but to open up new prospects for them.

Projects in collaboration with local partners

Together with local partners, we support projects in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Europe – such as schools for children from poor families, health centres in remote regions, or initiatives that strengthen families and foster social development. In doing so, Salvatorians and dedicated local staff work directly with the local people and have a first-hand understanding of their needs.

International networking and strong partnerships

A key partner is the international Salvatorian project office SOFIA in Rome, which supports global cooperation. The Salvatorians are also actively involved in social work in Europe – for example, through their support for the Pater Berno Foundation (PBS) in western Romania, which provides practical help to many people in difficult circumstances.

Volunteering as a life-changing experience

We are also particularly keen to inspire young people to embrace solidarity and gain international experience. Through volunteering programmes, young adults have the opportunity to spend a year working on a Salvatorian social project abroad – a period that often shapes the rest of their lives.

Commitment to human dignity and against exploitation

Furthermore, the Salvatorian Family is committed to addressing issues that threaten human dignity – such as the fight against human trafficking and exploitation. Through educational work, raising awareness and collaborating with various initiatives, we aim to raise awareness and help ensure that people are protected and empowered.

Get involved and be part of this spirit of solidarity

All this work depends on people who are willing to be moved and take responsibility – whether through their interest, commitment or support. Anyone who would like to help is warmly invited to become part of this global spirit of solidarity.
