On 13 June 2026, the symposium ‘A Shared Heritage’ took place in St Michael, Vienna I, focusing on the 400-year presence of the Barnabites and Salvatorians in Vienna.

On 13 June 2026, the symposium ‘Shared Heritage’ took place at St Michael’s in Vienna I, focusing on the 400-year presence of the Barnabites and Salvatorians in Vienna. As part of this shared heritage, a guided tour and a symposium were organised, shedding light on the history, spirituality and work of both religious orders.
The celebrations concluded on 14 June at 10.00 am with a solemn thanksgiving service at St Michael’s Church, which the Salvatorians celebrated together with a delegation from the Barnabites.
On June 13, 2026, the Salvatorian Sisters celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Austrian Province and turned their attention to the challenges of the present day.
On 4 December 2025, the Archbishop of Belgrade, Cardinal László Német SVD, ordained two Salvatorians as deacons in St. Michael's Church in Vienna I: Fr. Adrian Hafner from Romania and Fr. Jean-Luc Kapend Chiseng from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
On Monday, 1 December 2025, the Salvatorian religious order officially opened the Institute for Research into Salvatorian History and Spirituality at St. Michael's College, Habsburgergasse 12, in Vienna's first district.
