Episode 15 of „Weiter gehen – weiter denken“ (Moving Forward – Thinking Further) the Salvatorians’ podcast, explores why the history of a religious order is about far more than looking back at the past. What can historical sources tell us about the present? Why is research into the history of religious orders more important today than ever? And what role do academic independence, international cooperation and modern technologies play in this work? Historian Daniela Sommer-Neustifter, research associate at the Institute for the Study of Salvatorian History and Spirituality, provides some answers. (Podcast is in German).

From 9 to 23 September 2026, the Salvatorians are hosting their 12th Charity Art Auction. Held online in cooperation with Dorotheum, the auction brings together contemporary art and practical support for people in need. All proceeds will benefit the Salvatorians' social projects, helping provide assistance where it is needed most.

With great joy, the Salvatorians and the parish community in Timișoara celebrated the First Mass of the newly ordained Salvatorian priest, Fr Adrian Hafner SDS, on 5 July 2026. Just one day after his ordination, the new priest returned to the place where his journey of faith had begun. The celebration became a moving testimony to how a vocation can grow within a vibrant faith community.

On 13 June 2026, the symposium ‘Shared Heritage’ took place at St Michael’s in Vienna I, focusing on the 400-year presence of the Barnabites and Salvatorians in Vienna. As part of this shared heritage, a guided tour and a symposium were organised, shedding light on the history, spirituality and work of both religious orders.

The celebrations concluded on 14 June at 10.00 am with a solemn thanksgiving service at St Michael’s Church, which the Salvatorians celebrated together with a delegation from the Barnabites.
